WordPress: sending emails via SMTP Print this Article
Configuring the sending of e-mails via SMTP in WordPress guarantees us that the messages from our site will properly reach us as well as, for example, recipients of confirmation messages from the contact form.
Before configuring, you must create an e-mail account .
- Download the Easy WordPress SMTP plugin (or any other offering to enable SMTP)
- We go to the configuration in the Settings > Easy WordPress SMTP menu
- We complete the scheme:
From Email Address - email address
From Name - our name (equivalent of first and last name)
SMTP Host - hostname ( what is the address / name of my server? )
Type of Encription - none
SMTP Port - 587
SMTP Authentication - Yes
SMTP username - e-mail address.
SMTP Password - password for e-mail account
4. We save the settings and verify the correctness of the settings by sending a test e-mail from our blog
